1. General

On www.ru1ru2.com or www.love.ca, people who have complete personal profiles are more likely to have successful communications with other users-(most likely to receive e-mail and to have their e-mail responded to). It's simple, the more someone learns about you, the more accurately they can judge whether they are likely to be compatible with you. Fill out the registration form, complete the "about me", and "about you" sections. Introduce yourself by telling us your "Idea of Romance",or about your "Hobbies/interests". Give people an impression of who you are. If you're comfortable with it, upload or send in a clear photograph that captures your look, and personality. You can choose to show your photo to general members, to silver members only, or to gold members only.

2. How do I choose a Username, how often can I change my UserName?

Try to choose a Username which does not give out any personal information, or your true identity, i.e., your legal name. Do not include any special characters such as space, "$, @, #, &".

The answer to 'how often can I change my Username' is: NEVER. However, if you must change it, you will have to register a brand new profile for yourself, from (Step 1). Also, you need to send us an e-mail in order to correctly delete your old profile. Our system uses the Username to keep track of who contacted you and vice versa. Changing the Username will lose all of this information.

4. I've completed the Free register form, what's next?

When you sign up with ru1ru2.com or love.ca, filling out the register form, you can start using the site immediately. We require that you provide us with a correct e-mail address. You should receive a welcom e-mail from www.ru1ru2.com webaster. Our main concern is that you have no problems corresponding with other users.

5. If I forget my Username or Password, can I have you e-mail them to me?

You can go to the Membership Utility Page, click on forgot Username and Password, then enter your e-mail address. You will receive an e-mail message from webmaster@ru1ru2.com containing the Username and Password corresponding with the e-mail address you've submitted.

6. How do I update my e-mail address and password?

1) Go to the www.love.ca home page. Go to Member Login, and click here.

2) Membership Utility Page, Go to update Password and Email address, and click here.

3) Member Update Form, Type in Username, Old Password, New Password, Confirm New Password and e-mail Address, Go to continue, and click here. Your e-mail address and password will be changed. You will receive an e-mail message from webmaster ru1ru2.com containing your updated e-mail address, and password for personal reference.

7. How do I update my information?

Members can update any portion of their profile, and photo, as often as they like by selecting 'Update Your Profile' from the 'Membership Utilities' page

8. How do I search for other members?

If you know a specific member's Username, you can click on Browse on the www.ru1ru2.com or www.love.ca home page and do a "Quick search". You can type in the person's Username, then you will find that Username's profile.

When members Browse, and Search, they may utilize the "Advanced Search" option to select from a large number of criteria. What a great way to surf our site! You can search as broadly or precisely as you like for your ideal partner! Advanced search options include: gender, race, photo preference, geographic area (any country, province, town/city), all members or paid members only, relationship type, age of members, or members registered after the date of……………You can tailor your search results to find the sort of profiles you would like to see.

9. How do I find members who have joined after a certain date?

You can go to ADVANCED SEARCH and specify a date, allowing you to find all the members who've joined after that specific date.

10. How can I move my name to the top of the search results for my age group, and membership type?

1) You can upgrade your membership to put yourself on top.

2) logging in once will put you at the top of the list, because in this way the system indicates that you are an 'active' member using the site at your particular level of membership, and in your age group.

3) Replying to a person's e-mail will also put you at the top of the list.

4) If you upload your photo, that will also put you at the top of the list.

11. How do I REPLY to another member's e-mail?

When you receive a message from another user, there will be a link to that user's profile in the message. You can click on the link to visit that user's profile. If you decide to reply to the message, you can click the button at the bottom of the profile to "send him/her an e-mail". A standard reply message including YOUR e-mail address will be sent out to that person, and he/she will receive your message at their personal e-mail address. If you are not interested in this person, you don't need to reply. If you want to think about it, you can always reply later. Please DO NOT use REPLY on your screen to reply to e-mail, or your e-mail will be sent back to the ru1ru2.com mailbox.

The following are detailed instructions for replying to an e-mail.

1) When you check your own e-mail, messages from people interested in contacting you will appear as (i.e.,) webmaster@ru1ru2.com

2) Click the e-mail. Message from the person interested in you will appear, read the message.

3) Go to the Link bar http://www…., and click here

4) Profile of person who is interested in you will appear

5) If you wish to reply to him/her, go to the bottom of the page where it says "Please send him/her an e-mail", and click here.

6) Screen 'Welcome to RU1RU2' will show up, go to the word LOGIN, and click here

7) Screen 'Registered Member Log in Form' will show up, type in your Username and Password and click on the word SUBMIT

8) Welcome to RU1RU2, "Your UserName" Click on the word email

10) Your e-mail and your e-mail address have been sent to the person interested in contacting you.

12. I am a free member, and I've received an e-mail message from a person who is interested in me. When I click the link taking me to his/her profile, and I click send him/her an e-mail, I am prompted to upgrade my membership. Am I supposed to be able to reply to e-mail messages without upgrading my membership?

Yes, as a free member you should be able to reply to another person's e-mail message.One problem may be that you have two usernames in our system with the same e-mail address. Please refer to the e-mail message you've been sent, and verify that you've logged in under the username corresponding with the sender's intended recipient. To find that username, look for the words that follow "Hello" in the message you've received.

13. How do I SEND another member a personal e-mail?

If you are a silver (or above) member, you can visit their Personal Profile, and click on "Send him/her an e-mail". A standard message, including a link to your profile, will be displayed. You can click "Submit," and the party you are interested in communicating with will receive your message at their personal e-mail address.

14. How many e-mail messages can I send?

Currently, our system allows each user to send three e-mail messages to another member (for the purpose of establishing initial contact). The original sender will not be able to send more than 3 e-mails to the same person. It is up to the recipient if he/she wishes to reply or not. If you are not interested in the member who sent you an e-mail, you do not need to reply to him/her. Otherwise, please reply to their e-mail with your e-mail address or you will never know what you've missed, because a member you may be interested in will not be allowed to send you any more e-mails.

15. If I send a member an e-mail, will they be able to see my REAL email address?

No, our system allows you to remove all traces of who you really are, and replaces it with your Username and a link to your profile. No one will ever be able to contact you directly, or know your REAL e-mail address, without you directly disclosing it. The only way someone can get your regular email address is if you agree to give it to them.

16. Why are some member's photo only available to silver and gold members ?

Members can decide whether or not general member can see their photo. The default setting is that member's photos are viewable by general members. However, some users may not wish their photo to be viewed by the general membership. This setting can be changed in the Membership Utility Page. Choose the "Update User Profile and Upload/Block your photo" option.

17. If I choose to make my photo available to silver or gold members only, why am I not able to view my own photo even though I am a silver or gold member?

If you choose to make your photo available to silver or gold members only, you can only view your photo by going to Membership Utilities, and choosing the "Update Profile and Upload/Block your photo" option.

18. What kind of photos would you like me to supply?

Any clear, and accurate picture of you would be great. You can use head shots, partial or full body shots, in-door or out-door photos. Whatever best conveys your style, and personality. An example of a facial photo would be a professionally taken studio portrait or graduation picture. Examples for outdoor pictures would be with your pet at the beach, or a scenic view of somewhere you like to travel, etc. You can use either black and white or color film, however we feel that color photos look better on one's personal profile.

19. What should I keep in mind when I scan a photo?

When scanning a photo, you want to make sure to scan it in at least 150 or greater dpi (dots per inch). The higher the dpi, the better the resolution or clarity of your image. 150 or 300 dpi is usually good for images viewed on the Internet. You can always e-mail us whatever you've got, and we'll be happy to do the photo editing for your approval.

20. What kind of photo can I upload?

We accept several image formats. JPEG images are the most common, and we also accept GIF. If you are unsure of what format to use, JPEG is best.

21. How do I upload a photo?

You can upload a photo by going to the Membership Utility Page, and clicking on "Upload photo", then click the "Browse" button to search the contents of your computer for the image. You need to select the "All Files" option to show images in the selection window. Once you find your image, select it, and click on the "Upload" button. When your photo is successfully uploaded, your picture will show up in your personal profile immediately for your verification. You can choose to show your photo to general members, or to silver, or gold members only.

22. Can I mail you a photo?

23. What is the difference between general membership versus silver, gold, or V.I.P membership?

We offer three types of membership. General membership, silver membership, and Gold membership. Silver and Gold Members can send Unlimited e-mails to all other members, and can also receive and respond to all e-mails from other members. Silver and Gold Members have no restrictions in communicating with any other members. General Members can receive and respond to all e-mails, but cannot send e-mails to any other members. General Membership is free.

24. What's the difference between silver, gold, and VIP memberships?

The gold member will enjoy one-to-one personal services offered by Ideal Partners Inc. We don't require silver members to provide any information regarding their true identity, but with gold members we do. For gold members and above, we check drivers license information to ensure that the name, age, and home address are correct. We also require, and verify telephone contact numbers.

V.I.P. membership offers much more personalized Ideal Partners Inc. service provision. If you are a gold or V.I.P. member, you can always contact our office to obtain more detailed information regarding other gold or V.I.P. members, and you may even request that a face to face meeting be arranged by our office.

28. How long does it take for someone to respond to my questions?

Our Customer Support staff makes every attempt to respond to your messages within 24 hours (during regular business hours-M-F, 11am-7pm, PST). Messages sent in during the weekend are attended to on the next business day.

29. What is a hidden member? I know person X is on the site. Why can't I find them?

Our system has a Block function which will allow a member to view other member's profiles and send e-mail to others but not been found by any other users who search love.ca.
